CAD Inc. announced that more than 3,000 early-stage breast cancer patients have been treated with intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) using the Xoft Axxent Electronic Brachytherapy (eBx) System. A new study in the journal Chest determined that a structured prescreening counseling and shared decision-making visit with healthcare professionals leads to a better understanding of the benefits and risks of low-dose computed tomography (CT) lung cancer screening. The joint solution also enables the two sites to efficiently share resources.
