Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas Inc. announced it will introduce the Realism image processing solution and two new AeroDR HD Wireless Flat Panel Detectors for specialty applications at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Chicago.

November 9, 2017 – Blackford Analysis announced a sale to RadNet through the latter’s long-term channel partner eRAD, provider of imaging workflow solutions. The deal will see Blackford’s image processing platform rolled out in eRAD picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) at more 300 RadNet diagnostic imaging centers across the United States.

Sectra Implant Movement Analysis

International medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company Sectra recently signed an agreement with the global teleradiology provider Telemedicine Clinic (TMC). Through this agreement, Sectra can now offer its orthopedic customers access to the service Sectra Implant Movement Analysis. Radiologists at TMC will analyze images sent through Sectra’s online service to determine whether or not a patient’s implant is loose. This will enable orthopedists to understand post-operative chronic pain without performing surgery again, thereby cutting costs and reducing risk for the patients. Initially, Sectra and TMC will provide this service to orthopedic surgeons in Sweden.

November 8, 2017 — Physicians at UnityPoint Health Methodist, Peoria, Ill., are now offering fast, safe and accurate interventional radiology (IR) and oncology procedures with the Infinix-i 4D CT (computed tomography) system from Toshiba Medical, a Canon Group company.

Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas Inc. presented its ultrasound systems and wireless digital radiology (DR) imaging technologies, both optimized for rheumatology practices, at the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting, Nov. 3-8 in San Diego. The company sponsored several workshops dedicated to ultrasound education for rheumatologists, and also announced the availability of high definition (HD) and high dynamic range (HDR) X-ray imaging with AeroDR HD.
