September 8, 2011 — Naviscan announced it obtained CE Mark approval for its high-resolution positron emission tomography (PET) scanner and PET-guided biopsy accessory. The breast application of the scanner is positron emission mammography (PEM). Naviscan has expanded its distribution into 13 European countries and has already received its first two orders in Germany and Switzerland.

September 7, 2011 – The Sonography Chair, now available through Biodex, has a modern, ergonomic design, is manufactured with recycled materials and offers multiple adjustments for seat height, back height and backwards-tilt tension adjustment with integrated seat slider. September 6, 2011 – IT and medical technology company Sectra’s profit after net financial items for the company’s first quarter, May–July 2011, rose 25.6 percent to 16.2 million Swedish kronors corresponding to a profit margin of 9.6 percent. Sectra reports an operating profit of SEK 6.5 million and net sales of SEK 169.3 million. Order bookings rose 13.8 percent to SEK 190.8 million.
