Jonathon A. Leipsic, M.D., FSCCT, is the recipient of the 2019 DeHaan Award for Innovation in Cardiology, announced by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). Leipsic will present the second Dehaan Award Lecture at the SCCT 14th Annual Scientific Meeting, July 11-14 in Baltimore. The award, presented by the Jon DeHaan Foundation, includes a $200,000 grant.

Infervision announced their InferTEST program at the recent Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference, June 26-28 in Denver. InferTEST provides a gratis, no-commitment method for hospitals and radiology groups to see how artificial intelligence (AI) works and what value such tools can add to their practices and patients.

Aktina Medical announced that Elekta Instrument AB, based in Sweden, will offer and distribute the Aktina line of patented SRS Cones globally for use in cancer treatments and other appropriate radiation therapies.

Medic Vision Imaging Solutions announced that its 3-D iterative image reconstruction technology for shortening magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, iQMR, has been cleared by the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). The software will be distributed in Japan by Nagase & Co. Ltd.

Artificial intelligence (AI) breast cancer screening specialist Therapixel announced the appointment of Matthieu Leclerc-Chalvet as chief executive officer on June 14, 2019. This follows a 5 million euros series A fundraising, and the appointment of Sacha Loiseau as chairman of the board. Leclerc-Chalvet is also joining the board of directors.
