April 11, 2008 – Carestream released KODAK Molecular Imaging Software 5.0 designed to improve data accuracy, workflow and productivity when analyzing optical molecular images.

April 11, 2008 - Sectra PACS is used by radiologists at Telemedicine Clinic, Europe’s center for radiology service improvement and remote reading of radiology images, for reviewing and processing digital radiology images.

Sectra PACS is designed to handle large datasets in a distributed reading scenario, with images acquired at one hospital or clinic and read at another location, either from a radiologist’s home office or from another hospital. Dynamic data reduction allows users to work from remote locations, having the ability to handle networks of poor quality.

TeraRecon Inc. will be showcasing new innovations for its Aquarius suite of advanced visualization offerings at SIIM 2008.

Carestream’s latest CARESTREAM PACS platform supports workflow GRID computing, which facilitates storage and retrieval of information throughout an enterprise. This workflow GRID technology can reportedly provide synchronized global worklist and reporting to all sites, while allowing each site to operate independently of the network or centralized server when necessary.

Carestream will showcase the latest version of its Information Management Solutions (IMS), designed to provide improved viewing of medical imaging exams and other types of patient documents, while facilitating the integration of images with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

The MS51i2, Totoku’s first 21.3-inch monochrome display has a high resolution of 15 mega pixels, created to handle the higher resolution images output of the various modality devices.

The MS51i2's 21.3-inch monitor includes a 750 cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 800:1.

USEI introduced the new 3MP (CCL354i2), 2MP (CCL254i2) color LCDs. These models have a maximum luminance of 800cd/m² (3MP) and 950cd/m² respectively and reportedly reproduce accurately monochrome images with the same quality as monochrome LCDs.

The new LCDs are designed to stand up to the increasing usage of concurrent monochrome and color medical images, working to provide greater benefits to users by enhancing user convenience while reducing costs.
