April 15, 2008- Baptist Health recently installed 25 TIMS DICOM Systems with their Philips iSite PACS. The modalities that TIMS is sending to PACS include nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, angiography, C-arms, catheterization labs, endoscopy, nuclear medicine and other modalities. According to Foresight Imaging, Baptist Health chose the TIMS DICOM System because of TIMS’ ability to acquire from any medical modality and TIMS’ ability to acquire from both static and motion video modalities including long formats such as speech pathology.

The TIMS DICOM System, a solution for converting any non-DICOM medical modality to DICOM, will be featured at SIIM 2008. The TIMS DICOM System is designed to convert any modality including fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, CT, MR, motion X-ray, endoscopy, white light microscopy, angiography, ultrasound, speech pathology, and other modalities. The resulting studies can be sent to PACS, recorded to CD/DVD/USB, and printed to any Windows or DICOM printer.

April 14, 2008 - Resurgent Health and Medical said today Weirton Medical Center in Brooke County, WV purchased 11 CleanTech IC hand-washing systems.

The community hospital has had a CleanTech unit since January and ordered an additional 10 systems to use throughout the entire facility. Locations include inpatient units and critical care, in addition to public areas including near the main lobby and outside the cafeteria for use by visitors, patients and staff.

The syngo Colonography PEV (Polyp Enhanced Viewing) by Siemens Medical Solutions is an automated second reader tool for the visualization of lesions in the colon. The solution helps radiologists to detect polyp-shaped objects between 6 millimeters and 25 millimeters in size and can now be used both in clean-prepped and solid-liquid tagged protocols.

Konica Minolta's digital radiography (DR) room solution, the REGIUS Digital Imaging Suite consists of a float-top table, the Nano CR system and a control station that controls both REGIUS 370 and the Nano CR.

The ImageGrid 1000 archiving solution is based on a DICOM and appliance architecture. The solution reportedly speeds image access, simplifies management and protects patient images in a highly reliable, HIPAA-compliant server and archival system.

The ImageGrid product line is said to be ideal for imaging centers and small hospitals and provides archiving capacities ranging from 1 terabyte (TB) to tens of terabytes and is capable of receiving images directly from any DICOM modality.
