The syngo Colonography PEV (Polyp Enhanced Viewing) by Siemens Medical Solutions is an automated second reader tool for the visualization of lesions in the colon. The solution helps radiologists to detect polyp-shaped objects between 6 millimeters and 25 millimeters in size and can now be used both in clean-prepped and solid-liquid tagged protocols.

Konica Minolta's digital radiography (DR) room solution, the REGIUS Digital Imaging Suite consists of a float-top table, the Nano CR system and a control station that controls both REGIUS 370 and the Nano CR.

The ImageGrid 1000 archiving solution is based on a DICOM and appliance architecture. The solution reportedly speeds image access, simplifies management and protects patient images in a highly reliable, HIPAA-compliant server and archival system.

The ImageGrid product line is said to be ideal for imaging centers and small hospitals and provides archiving capacities ranging from 1 terabyte (TB) to tens of terabytes and is capable of receiving images directly from any DICOM modality.

Honorees will be announced at the TEPR 2008 opening session on Monday, May 19, in Fort Lauderdale FL.

According to MRI, this new TEPR Award is the first major effort to challenge EMR vendors to demonstrate that their products meet a range of EMR medicolegal requirements, including identity and authentication, document version management, signature events, data integrity and document event auditing functions.

April 11, 2008 - Microflex Corp., a subsidiary of Barrier Safe Solutions International, this week released its newest nonlatex glove - the Tranquility, a white examination glove designed to offer comfort and protection.

Tranquility gloves conform to the hand allowing for better tactile sensitivity and grip, the company said. The gloves are said to have a good grip whether they are wet or dry.

The nonlatex gloves can be used safely with patients who have allergies to natural latex rubber.
