The i-Mover is a battery-powered ergonomic tug that easily and safely moves heavy beds weighing up to 2,000 pounds around a healthcare facility and reduces workplace injuries due to pushing and pulling heavy beds.
The device supports “no lift” policies that some hospitals have implemented. The i-Mover features two onboard gel-sealed batteries, an internal charger and a retractable cord to make recharging easier. The device requires a storage space of 33 by 29 inches.
The company said the i-Mover is the only bed tug that has received FDA clearance as of the spring of 2008, which is required for any bed mover that will be used to move a patient in a bed.
