October 13, 2010 – The Zephyr patient transport system allows therapists to safely and accurately move brachytherapy patients during treatment. It uses air-bearing technology to transfer patients laterally and longitudinally from computed tomography (CT) couch top to patient stretcher to a high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy table.

The Floor Post series of radiology workstations is designed to make the most of limited space by accommodating multiple simultaneous users.

It has a single column with a secure track on two sides for mounting monitors, keyboards and CPUs. The design allows for flexible configuration, with the option to create up to four workstations on one post. October 8, 2010 – Two new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners have received 510(k) FDA clearance and are now commercially available in the United States. The Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5 Tesla and Magnetom Skyra 3T scanners are the first Tim 4G and DOT systems to receive U.S. clearance.

October 8, 2010 – Siemens PETNET Solutions has expanded its imaging biomarker capabilities in Nottingham, England and can now produce new biomarkers as investigational medicine products (IMP) in the United Kingdom.

The IMPs include a hypoxic agent that can identify tumor tissues with low oxygen supply and an amyloid agent for PET imaging of ß-amyloid deposits in the brain.
