October 5, 2010 – To more directly serve their respective memberships and the profession, the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) have initiated a restructuring of their strategic integration, effective starting at the end of September.

The ACR and ARRS will form a strategic alliance, under which ACR and ARRS will continue to serve their respective memberships under separate governance structures and operations. However, as part of the newly established alliance, each organization may carry out certain services for the other where increased impact or efficiency may be achieved.

The leadership of both organizations is assessing all phases of operations. This restructuring will be carried out over the next several months. ACR and ARRS members can expect uninterrupted access to the highly valued offerings that they have previously received as members of their respective organizations.

The ACR and ARRS will keep both memberships informed of major developments as this restructuring process moves forward.
