March 1, 2007 - Agfa HealthCare demonstrated its IMPAX data center, a real-time database of all structured and unstructured data from different clinical sources that presents a unified view of a single patient and leverages a central bank of transactional and data services, which can permit an enterprise level of data and clinical content management.

IMPAX Data Center provides a set of demographic data along with a number that uniquely identifies each patient throughout the continuum of care, meaning the IMPAX data center can manage multiple patient ID domains.

March 1, 2007 - WinScribe announced that its digital dictation solution has reportedly helped healthcare professionals and medical transcriptionists reduce the time it takes to produce medical reports by as much as 150 percent because of integrated speech recognition capabilities and the speed at which the dictation is transcribed. The system allegedly lets users choose how and when dictation is transcribed and how reports are routed.

March 1, 2007 - Philips has unveiled the IntelliVue Clinical Information Portfolio (ICIP), which enables the exchange of patient data or electronic health records (EHRs) across providers� networks, reportedly bringing a patient�s accumulated clinical data to clinicians while providing support for automated regulatory compliance through its ability to integrate into hospitals� IP enterprise architecture.

Philips also demonstrated the benefits of exchanging patient data by allowing show attendees to create and build an integrated electronic health record.

March 1, 2007 - Misys Healthcare Systems and MedAptus announced the integration MedAptus Electronic Charge capture with Misys EMR, Misys Vision, Misys Tiger and Misys ambulatory solution suite, claiming the system will flag potential errors for editing prior to submission, prompt accurate coding at the point-of-care and enable physician offices to avoid missing charges and maintain accurate records.
