March 6, 2007 - Array Corporation USA and Hologic, Inc. have recently entered into a supply agreement in which Array will provide a custom-built digitizer, developed for Hologic�s R2 DMax line of ImageChecker CAD and DigitalNow systems, that focuses on image processing, display and interpretation of CAD marks through medical picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) using the digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) standard.

March 6, 2007 - Sun Microsystems introduced two OEM offerings, iPACS and uPACS, integrated and utility picture archiving and communication systems, which are available in different sizes and designed as an integrated platform to enable OEMs and system integrators to rapidly build and implement PACS, last week at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in New Orleans.

March 6, 2007 - Merge Healthcare recently announced the debut of its diagnostic mammography solution, Merge Mammo version 7.0, one of the industry's first multi-modality, vendor-neutral digital mammography workstation applications, the system reportedly enables organizations to display and read images from different systems simultaneously and to read all breast studies on a single workstation, regardless of which vendor's acquisition device is used to secure the images.

March 6, 2007 — Draeger Medical Inc. announced the U.S. launch of its new ventilation system, the Oxylog 3000, which is designed to support critical care patients in demanding emergency and transport environments. Its combination of volume and pressure-controlled and pressure support ventilation across the entire breathing cycle enable the Oxylog 3000 to deliver high-end performance for caregivers.

March 5, 2007 - The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) recently presented the annual Medical Group Preeminence Award to three member medical groups: Geisinger Health System, Vanderbilt Medical Group and Virginia Mason Medical Center, at AMGA's 2007 Annual Conference, held February 28 through March 3, 2007 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.

March 5, 2007 - Acuo Technologies and Agfa Healthcare recently announced that Agfa HealthCare has been appointed as the authorized PACS/RIS reseller for Acuo Technologies, covering Agfa and Acuo's North Europe region in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordics, enabling Acuo to expand its ability to distribute and support products in Western Europe.

March 2, 2007 - The 2006 Frost & Sullivan Award for North American Medical Informatics Competitive Strategy Leadership of the Year has been awarded to Agfa HealthCare. Frost & Sullivan noted that "In 2005 Agfa HealthCare set in motion the execution of an ambitious, full-fledged strategy set to reinforce the company's position as a leading provider of medical informatics solutions for the healthcare enterprise. March 2, 2007 � Millennium Surgical Corp. has recently initiated a program to help surgical facilities decrease their dependence on the flash sterilization process and other sub-standard sterilization procedures, offering solutions and assistance including an evaluation of instrument usage, financing options to affordably increase inventory, �best practices" guidelines, electronic instrument set lists for right-sizing trays, and other resources to help facilities avoid resorting to sub-par sterilization.

March 2, 2007 � Kodak�s health group has recently signed a three-year contract with Novation that will offer the health group�s PACS to hospitals, out-patient imaging centers and other healthcare providers across the U.S., effective May 1, 2007 and ending April 30, 2010, with two one-year extension options.

In addition to the PACS contract, Kodak also has agreements with Novation to provide CR and DR systems, radiographic films, laser media, laser imaging systems and services.
