March 6, 2007 - Array Corporation USA and Hologic, Inc. have recently entered into a supply agreement in which Array will provide a custom-built digitizer, developed for Hologic�s R2 DMax line of ImageChecker CAD and DigitalNow systems, that focuses on image processing, display and interpretation of CAD marks through medical picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) using the digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) standard.

March 6, 2007 - Sun Microsystems introduced two OEM offerings, iPACS and uPACS, integrated and utility picture archiving and communication systems, which are available in different sizes and designed as an integrated platform to enable OEMs and system integrators to rapidly build and implement PACS, last week at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in New Orleans.

March 6, 2007 - Merge Healthcare recently announced the debut of its diagnostic mammography solution, Merge Mammo version 7.0, one of the industry's first multi-modality, vendor-neutral digital mammography workstation applications, the system reportedly enables organizations to display and read images from different systems simultaneously and to read all breast studies on a single workstation, regardless of which vendor's acquisition device is used to secure the images.

March 5, 2007 - Acuo Technologies and Agfa Healthcare recently announced that Agfa HealthCare has been appointed as the authorized PACS/RIS reseller for Acuo Technologies, covering Agfa and Acuo's North Europe region in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordics, enabling Acuo to expand its ability to distribute and support products in Western Europe.

March 2, 2007 � Kodak�s health group has recently signed a three-year contract with Novation that will offer the health group�s PACS to hospitals, out-patient imaging centers and other healthcare providers across the U.S., effective May 1, 2007 and ending April 30, 2010, with two one-year extension options.

In addition to the PACS contract, Kodak also has agreements with Novation to provide CR and DR systems, radiographic films, laser media, laser imaging systems and services.
