November 29, 2007 - Intelerad Medical Systems announced at RSNA 2007 the availability of PET/CT fusion functionality in IntelePACS, bringing the capabilities of a dedicated PET/CT fusion workstation to IntelePACS as a fully integrated module for Inteleviewer, the IntelePACS native viewer, giving clinicians access to specific PET/CT statistics such as Standard Uptake Values (SUVs) and volume measurements.

November 29, 2007 – TOTOKU Electronics Inc. showed its new 800cd/m2 super luminance, color, CCL354i2 3-megapixel LCD, flat panel display screens for reviewing both color and monochrome images during the 2007 RSNA meeting.

The company says the new monitors will be available in the spring of 2008 and will be cheaper than many current black and white screens. The high contrast screens and high light output makes them able to be used for black and white X-ray image review, which require more brightness than most color monitors offer.

November 29, 2007 - Planar Systems Inc. today announced that a clinical trial conducted at Emory University’s Breast Imaging Center in Atlanta, GA, showed that its Stereoscopic Digital Mammography (SDM) system showed that false-positive findings at screening were reduced by 49 percent and false-negative results were reduced by 40 percent, compared to standard two-dimensional mammography.

November 28, 2007 - GE Healthcare has introduced the Signa HDxt as the next-generation High Definition MR scanner, available in both 1.5T and 3.0T field strengths. Highlighting the new system are two new marquee applications called Cube and IDEAL.

November 28, 2007 - GE Healthcare IT unveiled at RSNA Centricity OneView, a Web-based clinical information and workflow management system designed to connect multiple discrete RIS and PACS solutions.

Centricity OneView is a Web-based solution and a single point of access for radiologists and technologists. It reportedly connects organizations to images, reports and status information regardless of the system from which they originated. Patient imaging records are comprehensive and consolidated, and accessible.

November 28, 2007 - GE Healthcare's suite of Centricity solutions targeted for hospitals and outpatient imaging centers is built on Centricity’s business process and advanced clinical capabilities. The suite provides the robust Web-based accessibility of IntegradWeb solutions recently acquired from Dynamic Imaging.

Centricity Radiology-IW for hospitals is the first product to result from the Dynamic Imaging acquisition and will offer Web-based portability, instantaneous image reporting and scalable business processes.
