April 3, 2008 - Cardinal Health signed an exclusive agreement with UltraSPECT to provide cost-effective imaging processing software to cut scanning time in half or double the image resolution of existing nuclear medical imaging equipment.

CoActiv EXAM-NET, a suite of digital communications products and services designed to optimize the capabilities of teleradiology groups and other radiologists who work in multiple locations, will be featured at SIIM 2008.

EXAM-NET aims for fast, anywhere, any time access to images to provide greater efficiency and fully integrated workflow among all radiology group members, wherever located. Combined with the CoActiv EXAM-PACS, it offers location-free image management including image distribution, reading and archiving.

Voyager PACS, which will be featured at SIIM 2008, is a Web-enabled, server-based PACS that reportedly provides medical images of any patient to any doctor, anytime, anywhere.

Philips launched its new USB Smart Key, a tool that allows dictation software licenses to be uploaded to reportedly any computer to replace dongles and offer more flexibility.

With this tool, Philips replaces current dongles and older security codes that had to be manually typed in. The USB Smart Key is now packaged with Philips SpeechExec Pro Dictate and Philips SpeechExec Pro Transcribe, as well as Transcribe software packages.
