April 4, 2008 - The Harmony LED Surgical Lighting and Visualization System, showcased at AORN 2008, features pure white light from the system’s single-color, phosphor-coated LED, according to STERIS, which ensures a consistent spot of clear light that won’t cause color fringing or rainbow effects of multi-colored bulbs.

The Harmony reportedly delivers 150,000 lux of white light. The system’s Surgeon Control feature allows for the light intensity, spot size and position to be adjusted. The Harmony is designed with a color-rendering index (CRI) of 97, and an R9 value of 96.
