April 10, 2008 - The National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training Centre in Kaduna State, Nigeria, selected Viztek’s Onyx Acquire digital image management solution to work with its new MinXRay portable X-ray units, marking the first time in 30 years the center has had access to X-ray technology.

The National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training Centre is affiliated with the American-based program, President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) whose main focus is to prevent and treat HIV/AIDS, as well as combat tuberculosis and leprosy.

With over 2,000 worldwide installations, Onyx Acquire supports digital X-ray viewing, measurement and distribution. In addition to the installed Kodak Point-of-Care 260 Computed Radiography (CR) for in-house use, the facility will also install the Point-of-Care CR 140 for mobile use.
