Double Black Imaging (DBI) is highlighting its new surgical LCD line up at this year’s Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) show May 31 – June 2, 2008 in San Jose, CA.

DBI’s new surgical line includes a wide range of LCDs, including patient vicinity safe LCDs, Large format color medical LCDs and self-calibrating LCDs ideal for mounting on OR carts.

Integra Neuro Sciences introduced the LimiTorr in the spring of 2008, which the company says is one of the first volume limiting CFS drainage systems on the market.

The device is designed to prevent over drainage. This is especially important during drainage of the lateral ventricles of the brain or lumbar subarachnoid space. When the end volume is reached (20 or 30 mL), the flow shuts off using burette technology. When the burette is emptied, drainage can resume.
