Samsung Electronics showcased the GM85 digital radiography (DR) system, which received 510(k) U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in November, at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2016 annual meeting, Nov. 27-Dec. 1 in Chicago. Samsung announced recently that The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston added BodyTom CT, the world’s first portable, full-body, 32-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner to its Proton Therapy Center. The center is now treating patients using images from the scanner as part of the process.
