July 7, 2014 — Canon U.S.A. Inc. and wholly owned subsidiary Virtual Imaging Inc. announced the introduction of the RadPRO Omnera 400A auto-positioning digital radiographic system, the first of a new series of overhead radiographic systems designed to help healthcare professionals meet the challenges of demanding hospital imaging departments. Constructed of rugged crafted aircraft aluminum, the RadPRO Omnera 400A system also provides the flexibility and ease of use helpful to deliver patient focused care.
The RadPRO Omnera 400A incorporates automatic motorized positioning and features automatic stitching, a tube-mounted 10-inch touch screen, a vertical wall stand and a table with extended range of motion. It will be outfitted with several of Canon’s portfolio of CXDI digital radiography detectors, and utilizes the proprietary Canon CXDI Control Software NE, fully integrated into one operating console of the RadPRO Omnera 400A system.

The RadPRO Omnera 400A system features a high-frequency generator and an elevating six-way table with a 550-pound patient load. This system provides a low table position for easy patient access and transfer, while a high table position provides a comfortable working level. Its fully motorized auto-positioning provides servo tracking to both the wall stand and table to provide precision positioning quickly and easily.
