Dec. 31, 2025 – Carestream Health, Inc. has completed the separation of the company into two geographically focused organizations, enhancing the long-term growth potential of each company. As part of the separation, Carestream Health retained all of the company’s U.S. operations and most of the company’s international operations have been organized under Carestream Healthcare International Co. Ltd(previously known as Rayco (Shanghai) Medical Products Company Limited. In addition, Carestream International was acquired by affiliates of Midea Group Co., Ltd. as part of the transaction.

Carestream is a worldwide provider of medical imaging systems.

Through the transaction, Carestream Health is expected to benefit from an improved balance sheet and greater strategic emphasis on the U.S. market, strengthening its ability to continue delivering industry-leading solutions and technologies to medical providers and customers.

“This strategic split is the next step in our journey to enhance Carestream Health’s long-term success and strengthen our leadership and customer-centric focus,” said Todd Clegg, CEO of Carestream Health. “We are confident that the transaction will allow us to enhance our U.S. operations as we remain dedicated to delivering solutions that support our customers’ experience and our partners’ success. Midea is well suited to drive the continued growth in international markets, and we believe that both Midea and its partners will benefit from the expertise of our talented international colleagues.”

Under the terms of the transaction, Carestream Health sold to Midea certain assets of its wholly owned business entities that operate in various markets outside the U.S. Carestream Health Inc. will retain the company’s entire commercial and manufacturing operations in the U.S.
