A new study by a University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) researcher has found that a genomic test widely used to help determine whether women with a common form of breast cancer should undergo radiation is not cost effective. The study was conducted by Ann C. Raldow, M.D., assistant professor in residence in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCLA and member of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, in collaboration with colleagues at Harvard and University of Texas Southwestern.
