June 11, 2007 – CoActiv Medical will supply New York City’s Project Renewal ScanVan program with complete digital imaging solutions this summer. Delivering both mammography and X-ray imaging, the ScanVan mobile clinic will visit homeless shelters in the city’s five boroughs providing digital X-ray imaging for people with positive TB skin tests, and offering film-based mammograms. In the future, when the program converts to full-field digital mammography, the company says it will also support acquisition, analysis, distribution and archiving for these exams.

The new monitor is designed to meet the grayscale and color diagnostic imaging needs of hospitals. Image sharing between departments along with advances in image processing technology have increased the need for high-level, multipurpose monitors capable of displaying both color and monochrome images, the company reported.
