June 11, 2007 – Konica Minolta Medical Imaging announced the launch of its new single bay CR system, the REGIUS Nano CR. The new system, designed for speed and maximum uptime, is an affordable solution for low-procedure volume facilities and ancillary departments transitioning to digital radiography. According to the company, the REGIUS Nano CR also complements the REGIUS Xpress CR in busier departments by delivering customized, enhanced workflow and providing cost-effective redundancy.

June 11, 2007 – CoActiv Medical will supply New York City’s Project Renewal ScanVan program with complete digital imaging solutions this summer. Delivering both mammography and X-ray imaging, the ScanVan mobile clinic will visit homeless shelters in the city’s five boroughs providing digital X-ray imaging for people with positive TB skin tests, and offering film-based mammograms. In the future, when the program converts to full-field digital mammography, the company says it will also support acquisition, analysis, distribution and archiving for these exams.

June 11, 2007 - Neurostar debuted enhancements to its Virtual Radiology Network (VRN) at SIIM. The new, optional Virtual Practice Management (VPM) module features: complete radiology reporting tools, including Web-based transcription, digital recording, voice recognition and customizable report templates; customizable result distribution functionality, physician routing of studies based on resource allocation and optimization; custom management reporting tools; and more.

June 11, 2007 - The MACH ONE from AFC Industries is a mobile adjustable cassette holder that reportedly provides maximum flexibility with minimum effort. The electronically height-adjustable mobile X-ray cassette stand is for scoliosis, long-leg or standard examinations.

Other features of the MACH ONE include: separate holder for cassette and grid; portrait or landscape positioning of the cassette; high-grade steel and aluminum construction; and a small footprint with 4-inch locking casters.

June 12, 2007 — Matrox Graphics Inc., a manufacturer of professional graphics solutions, featured at SIIM its new Matrox Equinox Series of graphics extension technology for Operating Room (OR) planning, control and education. Matrox Equinox Series is designed to bring high quality images from a single PC computing station to remote displays, allowing hospitals to replicate OR displays and distribute medical information to various locations, providing operator access to data, audio/video and imagery.

June 7, 2007 - FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA Inc. announced the availability of the XG2000 digital x-ray system designed to meet the workflow needs of facilities requiring a true two cassette-slot CR reader. It is the only CR product on the market that can be field-upgraded to four cassette slots when patient capacities demand a higher volume system.

June 7, 2007 – With enhanced tools to advance multisite capabilities and expand clinical functionality, Agfa introduced its latest version of IMPAX PACS/RIS. The Web-deployable application is designed to improve the planning, capture, interpretation, distribution, and archiving of diagnostic images throughout the hospital enterprise. This single image-management and storage solution allows a virtual view of a patient's imaging record, from anywhere Internet access is available, all on a single desktop.

June 7, 2007 - Eizo Nanao announced the release of the RadiForce RX210 2-megapixel LCD monitor at SIIM. The new monitor is designed to meet the grayscale and color diagnostic imaging needs of hospitals. Image sharing between departments along with advances in image processing technology have increased the need for high-level, multipurpose monitors capable of displaying both color and monochrome images, the company reported.
