July 24, 2007 – According to a new report by Global Industry Analysts Inc., the world Computer-Assisted Surgical Systems market is projected to exceed the $2 billion mark by 2010. The U.S. market is likely to remain the largest and fastest growing market for CAS systems, followed by Europe, Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world.
Forecasters base their predictions on several factors: the growing number of older people, increasing use of imaging procedures being prescribed by physicians, and significant increase in outpatient surgical procedures.

July 24, 2007- QuadraMed Corp. announced a definitive agreement to acquire the Computerized Patient Record (CPR) assets of Misys Healthcare, a division of Misys plc, for $33 million in cash. Misys CPR is an enterprise-wide computerized patient record and electronic health record system. The transaction is expected to close within sixty days.
