Viking Systems Expands with Middle Eastern Partnership

August 1, 2007 — Viking Systems Inc., a designer, manufacturer and marketer of laparoscopic vision systems for use in minimally invasive surgical (MIS) procedures, expanded its international distribution network by partnering with Saudi Services & HealthCARE Co., Ltd., a medical device distributor in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Services and HealthCARE. is reportedly an industry leader providing niche surgical markets with the most advanced technology available. The company has highly specialized experience in delivering sophisticated medical devices to the surgical operating suite and intends to use this expertise to help Saudi Arabian surgeons understand the impact 3D vision will have on their surgical practices, according to manufacturer.

According to Stephen Heniges, Viking’s senior vice president, global marketing and clinical development, surgeons from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Region have shown interest in obtaining the benefits of 3D visualization for complex MIS procedures offered by Viking, such as the 3Di Vision System.
