October 31, 2007 - Medical device company Intelligent Hospital Systems said today it secured $7.6 million of equity and debt financing to support the North American market introduction of the company’s RIVA (Robotic Intra Venous Automation) system - a self-contained unit for filling IV syringes and bags.

The device will be marketed to hospital pharmacies.

October 31, 2007 – Getinge USA today entered into an agreement with GE Healthcare to service GETINGE washer/disinfectors and steam sterilizers in more than 200 facilities that contract with GE Healthcare to provide a host of asset management services.

Getinge USA was also awarded a contract with Premier Inc., one of the nation’s largest healthcare purchasing networks, to offer detergents and cleaners to 1,700 hospitals and more than 47,000 other healthcare sites.

October 31, 2007 - Matrox Graphics Inc. recently announced that S-CAPE, a provider of medical imaging viewing systems, has chosen the company for the integration of multiconsole monitor systems for the OR, bundling Matrox Equinox graphics extension units with its image viewers.

Housed in a hygienic casing, S-CAPE's image viewer reportedly allows medical imaging professionals to view patient images within an operating room without compromising safety or viewing flexibility.

October 30, 2007 - Bracco Diagnostics, the subsidiary of contrast media developer Bracco Imaging, will acquire E-Z-EM at $21 a share for an estimated total of $241 million.

Independent members of E-Z-EM's board of directors have approved the agreement as well as a group of E-Z-EM stockholders, who represent approximately 34 percent of E-Z-EM’s outstanding shares.
