Viztek Installs 100th Opal-RIS

November 13, 2007 – Viztek announced the 100th installation of its Opal-RIS solution at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, MO, reportedly enabling a complete transition to a digital radiology environment for modalities including X-ray, CT, ultrasound and MRI.

The Viztek Opal-RAD PACS was also installed at the hospital. Viztek Opal-RIS is a solution supporting advanced digital management of a radiology business, from patient scheduling and registration to report dictation and billing. Opal-RIS shares a single database and functions seamlessly with Viztek’s Opal-RAD PACS to create a complete solution for efficient patient care and business management, according to the company. This includes document scanning to support productive, paperless workflow. The application’s standards-based architecture reportedly integrates with any third-party HIS, dictation, billing and PACS solutions.
