July 25, 2008— The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) said iMedica Corp. is CCHIT Certified for its product, iMedica PRM 2008 version 8.1, and meets the Commission's ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) criteria for 2007.

Ambulatory EHRs are designed for physician offices and clinics where most Americans get their healthcare.

As a CCHIT Certified product, the iMedica PRM 2008 has been tested and passed inspection of 100 percent of a set of criteria for functionality, interoperability and security.

We don’t want to underestimate the impact that the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) has had on outpatient and imaging centers, but the bigger story is that the DRA is just one component in an ongoing campaign by Medicare and other payers to try to control the burgeoning growth of imaging services. July 25, 2008 - InSite One said it added 40 new clients during the first half of 2008, including hospitals, general outpatient imaging centers, cardiology and women's imaging centers, as more facilities outsource archiving and storage management.

July 25, 2008 – Intellirad’s Voyager PACS was recently installed at Greenslopes hospital in Brisbane, Australia replacing a large international brand PACS.

The Voyager PACS configuration included PACS Archive, Web server, diagnostic workstations (including Mammography reporting), administration stations, document scanning stations, CD/DVD burning stations, DICOM modality worklist, custom desktop RIS integration and Voyager data migration as a background task.
