August 7, 2008 - InnerSpace's Mini Harmony cart is now available, featuring small footprint (32 inches high, 24 inches wide and 19-11/16 inches deep) and optional front mounted keyless entry for patient rooms, exam rooms and under counter or cubby areas where space is limited.

The cart has 21 inches of linear drawer space including two 3-inch drawers, one 6-inch drawer and one 9-inch drawer. Drawers will accept InnerSpace's standard offering of trays and dividers.

August 7, 2008 - Emergent Group Inc, a provider of mobile medical lasers and surgical equipment, said its PRI Medical Technologies Inc. (PRI) subsidiary has entered an agreement to purchase the Surgical Services division of PhotoMedex, Inc. ("PHMD").

The PHMD division provides mobile laser services in 11 Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast states, serving 18 individual local markets expanding PRI’s geographic coverage to 16 states.

August 7, 2008 – MEDRAD Inc. completed today the first installation of its Intego PET Infusion System at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Hillman Cancer Center.

MEDRAD has partnered with IBA Molecular which will supply UPMC with Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) in a multi-dose vial housed in a specially-designed Tungsten vial shield. Use of this system is said to minimize the need to manually prepare and handle individual FDG doses, significantly reducing potential radiation exposure to hospital personnel.

August 7, 2008 - The first patients were treated using the next generation CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System that was recently installed at the Oklahoma CyberKnife, LLC in Tulsa, OK, reported CyberKnife manufacturer Accuray Inc.

The next generation CyberKnife System reportedly delivers radiosurgery with significantly reduced treatment planning and delivery times, according to Accuray.
