June 28, 2010 – There is a growing consensus that radiologists must ensure that patients undergoing computed tomography (CT) receive the minimum radiation dose possible to produce a medical benefit, according to an article in the June 23 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.

Digital X-ray manufacturer iCRco has signed a distribution agreement with GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric Company, for its computed radiography (CR) systems.

Under this distribution contract, GE Healthcare will provide access to the iCRco products through the GE distribution network to selected countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Aurora Dedicated Breast MRI System from Aurora Imaging Technology Inc. will be installed in the world-renowned Ruijin Hospital located in Shanghai, the teaching hospital for China’s top-tiered Jiao Tong University Medical School.

June 23, 2010 – A new breast imaging workstation promises to improve the efficiency of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) image processing in breast cancer analysis. Toshiba America Medical Systems announced the introduction of the Aegis breast imaging workstation this week.
