November 30, 2011 — ETS-Lindgren announced the release of several new products and services related to MRI shielding. They include the next generation of LED lighting for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite applications; a full scale and operational Auto-Seal II (AS-II) shielded door; and the Ferromagnetic Detection System (FMDS).

November 30, 2011 — Carestream expanded its leadership in digital radiography with a second generation of its innovative wireless, cassette-size Carestream DRX detector. The new digital radiography (DR) detector is now available worldwide and weighs 7.9 pounds. It displays a preview image in less than four seconds to enhance radiology workflow. An optional three-second exposure mode improves medical imaging of larger patients and enhances image quality for healthcare providers with lower power X-ray generators.

November 30, 2011 — Kjaya Medical has been awarded a substantial financial investment through Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-Up program. The prestigious program is administered through the Irish state agency responsible for supporting the development of manufacturing and internationally traded service companies. Kjaya underwent a rigorous due diligence process prior to selection and was one of only 24 such high tech firms selected for the program in Q2 of this year.

 

November 30, 2011 – Brainlab announced the launch of VoyantLink, a cloud-based image sharing, viewing and enrichment platform for clinicians, hospitals and imaging centers at RSNA. VoyantLink is the first service/product of its kind to move beyond image sharing to an effective cloud-based workspace, where users are able to access their images in the cloud, as well as launch and employ clinical planning tools and push completed plans to any device or storage location.

November 30, 2011 — medQ has unveiled its Critical Test Result Management (CTRM) module, version 2.0. The module is fully automated and embedded in the Q/RIS VR-based dictation program. Radiologists will be able to assess the severity of the diagnosis and quickly contact the ordering physician to notify of the condition.
