PenRad, EBM Technologies Agreement Enhances Breast Imaging Workflow

February 10, 2012 — Best in KLAS leader for mammography information system (MIS) technology, and EBM Technologies, leader in medical information management innovations, expanded its partnership to deliver image and information management solutions for enhanced diagnostic breast imaging workflow. The agreement includes the PenView complete breast imaging workstation and vendor neutral archive (VNA) — both powered by EBM Technologies, to be offered within the PenRad product suite in the United States.

PenView is a complete reading software solution that streamlines efficiency, quality and economics in breast imaging. PenView can integrate breast MRI and ultrasound CAD, and full MIS reporting capabilities, enhancing interpretation, image and information management, and patient care workflow. Scaling to your workflow, PenView is a multi-modality reading solution available in tailored configurations based on your needs, from a stand-alone workstation, to an enterprise, to a distributed cloud-based solution. PenView has received IHE certification and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance.

VNA, powered by EBM Technologies, provides on-demand delivery of images and data to locations throughout your enterprise, regardless of where the information is physically stored or where it originated. These capabilities streamline IT tasks and can dramatically reduce expenses.

“We are pleased to partner with PenRad, delivering comprehensive solutions for streamlined image and information management in breast imaging,” said David Lin, general manager at EBM Technologies. “With PenRad’s award winning MIS solution, together we provide all the tools needed for high quality, efficient and secure breast imaging and data workflow.”
