December 14, 2015 — Precision Image Analysis Inc. (PIA) announced a dramatic expansion of its capabilities as a provider of medical imaging services. Building on its ISO-9001:2008 certification for its Quality Management System, PIA has adopted and implemented comprehensive Core Lab protocols and procedures. This expansion enables PIA to support a wide variety of research activities. Their Core Lab services include design and optimization of protocols, intra-observer and inter-observer analyses, statistical analysis and customized reporting.

In addition, PIA has built a Title 21 CFR Part 11-compliant system that supports the needs of current and future clients who require this level of assurance. Title 21 CFR Part 11 applies to medical device manufacturers, drug makers, biotech companies, biologics developers, CROs and other U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated industries requiring these companies to implement controls, including audits, system validations, audit trails, electronic signatures and documentation for software systems involved in processing electronic data.

PIA showcased their Core Lab services along with their remote post-processing solution for cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) and cardiac computed tomography (CT) at this year's Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting.
