RSNA23: Leading Through Change

As the year 2023 comes to a close, the month of November brings with it the highly anticipated Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting. This year’s theme, “Leading Through Change,” highlights the evolving field of radiology, centering on how radiology professionals can be both intentional and proactive as they navigate and lead others through change. The meeting takes place Nov. 26-30 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Educational sessions from top radiologists and poster presentations will offer not-to-be-missed discoveries, data and science. The exhibit hall will include more than 600 exhibitors, and the conference itself will host over 24,000 attendees, according to planners. On the exhibit floor, you’ll have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology and make valuable connections with industry leaders to help make critical purchasing decisions. New this year are daily Center Stage Presentations in the Innovation Theater, where CEOs and senior executives from a variety of exhibiting companies will step into the spotlight and share their insight.

However, RSNA isn’t just about education and learning — it’s also a great opportunity to network and mingle with colleagues. To that end, this year RSNA has introduced some great new events that you’ll want to write into your schedule. A new Community Service Event will take place on Nov. 28 from 11-1 pm. Join RSNA’s Health Equity Committee on site to assemble cold weather and hygiene kits to be donated to Care for Friends and Sarah’s Circle, two volunteer organizations that support Chicago’s homeless community. That same afternoon will also feature an Exhibit Hall Happy Hour from 2-5 pm, where you can connect with industry influencers, colleagues and friends in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

Another new addition is RSNA Connect: Coffee, Cocoa and Conversation, where you can connect with your community and meet in person for conversation about current radiology topics. RSNA reports a number of sessions will be offered, with topics focusing on RSNA23, ChatGPT and Generative AI, DEI, Quality and Safety, and Sustainability. To learn more, visit the RSNA website at www.rsna.org.

RSNA23 is offering a neat new feature: the Radiology Art Contest Display — The Art of Imaging to be set in the Learning Center. You can admire your colleague’s creativity while visiting the exhibit, which will feature radiology art, mixed media artwork and AI-generated artwork. Yet another great event offering.

Imaging Technology News (ITN) will again be exhibiting at RSNA23, so please stop by Booth 1609 in the South Hall and tell us about the trends and new ideas you’re discovering at the conference. Our team looks forward to seeing you there!
