NIO COLOR 2MP from Barco features a 2-megapixel (1,600 by 1,200 resolution), 20.1-inch color LCD, offering superior image quality under all viewing angles. The display system is optimized to display both color and grayscale medical data sets and is fully compatible with 2-D and 3-D applications. Barco carefully color matches the displays in every dual-head display system to guarantee that the color characteristics of the displays are consistent. This allows radiologists to perform their work without distracting color differences inherent in LCD panels.

ScanX line of digital imaging systems are now equipped with In-Line Erase, and continue to feature the same rapid image cycle times and compact dimensions as prior models. All models will read the imaging PSP (Phosphor Storage Plate), then immediately erase it in the same continuous cycle. A fully erased, ready-to-reuse 1-by- 17-inch plate is available in just 55 seconds.

Horizon Rad Station eJacket from McKesson enables quick access to exam results using a Web browser. It provides referring physicians with portable access to information from the diagnostic imaging service for the studies they ordered for their patients. This information includes reports with embedded flagged images, scanned documents, voice clips, flagged images or the entire image set.

The Nihon Kohden NTX non-invasive telemetry transmitter is capable of monitoring ECG, Sp02, respiration and non-invasive blood pressure. The transmitter operates in the new protected WMTS frequency band and provides economical operation through the use of 3 alkaline AA batteries.

Nucletron Oncentra ConeBeam now offers clinicians the ability to acquire a large volume of multislice CT data on a conventional simulator, providing the best of both worlds: digital fluoroscopy and CT imaging on one modality. This concept is advantageous in that it reduces space requirements and equipment costs for the department. For the first time, all radiotherapy patients can be imaged in the true treatment position, making the planning process easier, more reproducible and, therefore more accurate.

Allowing hospitals to achieve positive bedside medication verification at the point of care, the CLP-521 and CLP-7202e bar code printers have been certified for use with their Meditech applications. The printer can be placed anywhere, even areas with minimal counter space, and includes features usually only found on high-performance machines, such as all-metal construction, for solid reliability and precision.

The new mobile imaging system called the OEC 9900 Elite, incorporates technology for faster cardiac exams and greater patient comfort in the OR. Two new single-patient-use pulse oximetry sensors used primarily for infant and neonatal patients have been cleared by the FDA.

Philips’ new Sp02 disposable sensors are designed to provide greater comfort while maintaining a secure fit, using soft foam material and special adhesives for patients with sensitive skin. These sensors complement the company’s line of reusable and disposable sensors — giving hospitals a choice of sensors to meet their clinical requirements.
