April 25, 2007 - Direct Medical Systems, LLC received FDA clearance to market its InnovaSound USB Ultrasound System, a Plug and Play ultrasound probe system equipped with standard ultrasound probe capabilities but without the six-figure price tag.

The computer requirements for the USB ultrasound system are USB 2.0 and an operating system of Windows XP or Vista with minimum of 1 Megaherts processor, 512 memory. This technology results in affordable ultrasound being available in non-traditional locations.

April 24, 2007 – Teramedica and Aurora Health Care announced that TeraMedica’s Evercore - Clinical Information Manager will be implemented in order to integrate Aurora’s medical images and distribute them to health care providers in a lightweight format within the Cerner Power Chart Module of Aurora’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). This will allow the provider to see, in electronic format – both the medical image and the text report interpretation of the image – in the patient’s medical record.
