May 15, 2007 - Agfa HealthCare recently announced that Southern Regional Health System (SRHS) of Riverdale, GA, has selected Agfa HealthCare's integrated RIS/PACS/Reporting Solution, IMPAX Enterprise, for its diagnostic imaging department.
IMPAX Enterprise, an integrated digital imaging and information solution, can reportedly facilitate and enhance the planning, capture, interpretation, distribution and archiving of diagnostic images throughout the hospital enterprise. The enterprise includes an integrated RIS (Radiology Information System), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) and voice recognition reporting system. The implementation will proceed in a phased approach with the RIS solution expected to work live in July. The PACS will be deployed across the facility and will include orthopedic and mammography capabilities.
SRHS is also putting in seven CR 85-X computed radiography systems with Agfa HealthCare NX software for their main radiology, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), ER and NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) areas.
