September 7, 2007 — Sunnex Inc. has donated medical lighting to “Friends of the Children” who will leave for Haiti on a two-week mission to the mountain community of LaMontagne.

The team of 12 volunteers will provide medical and dental care to approximately 2,400 people. The care will range from treating childhood illnesses and malnutrition to traumatic injuries and life-saving surgical procedures. There is no other care available within a 3 hours walk. Sunnex medical lighting will improve lighting during dental and surgical procedures.

September 7, 2007 - Clinical software maker Allscripts has been named one of Fortune magazine's 100 fastest-growing companies for 2007.
The list, comprised of public companies, appears in the Sept. 17 issue of Fortune and is available online now at www.fortune.com. Allscripts, which was ranked No. 23 overall, was one of only seven companies in the healthcare sector to make this year's list.

September 7, 2007 - Almost two years to the day after Hurricane Katrina devastated the coastline of Louisiana, the Valentine Medical Center opened on Aug. 23 as the final HIMSS Katrina Phoenix medical clinic based in Gretna, LA., a suburb of New Orleans.
The clinic opened with a state-of-the-art electronic medical records system, thanks in part to the Healthcare Information Management System's Society (HIMSS) Katrina-Phoenix project funding, donations, and assistance from Louisiana Health Care Review, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Louisiana.
