Coatings added to paint that kill molds and/or bacteria are clearly advantageous for use in hospitals, locker rooms, schools, and other public areas.

November 21, 2007 – Elekta announced that is has received an order to supply its Elekta Synergy S advanced radiation therapy technology and information management software to the University of Liège Hospital in Belgium, aiming to expand and improve treatment capacity.

The system, slated for installation in March 2008, is reportedly capable of supplying high doses of radiation while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. The image-guided robotic digital linear accelerator combines integrated 3D imaging abilities with powerful high-resolution radiation delivery.

November 21, 2007 - NovaRad announced the availability of NovaRIS and NovaPACS through an ASP model, to help contain costs for small, budget-constrained facilities.

Images are stored on archives at NovaRad Corp.’s International Data Center near Salt Lake City, UT, and are accessed securely through a Web browser. November 21, 2007 - Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc. has signed a three-year contract by MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, a group purchasing organization, to provide Magnevist (gadopentetate dimeglumine) Injection contrast media to members of the MedAssets network.

MedAssets serves more than 125 health systems, including 2,500 hospitals and 30,000 non-acute care healthcare providers. With this agreement, Magnevist is now on contract or has agreements with nearly all of the major GPOs in the United States.
