February 11, 2008 - The American College of Cardiology will hold its Annual Scientific Session from March 29-April 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, offering the latest innovations in cardiovascular science and education.

This year’s ACC.08 will be held in conjunction with SCAI Annual Scientific Session in Partnership with ACCi2 to deliver a platform for interventional medicine, including live cases and simulation sessions.

Toshiba's Vantage Titan MRI is designed to capture higher resolution heart images, while capturing deeper imaging of the anatomy. This is possible due to the center eight elements of the cardiac coils being smaller and the outer eight elements of the cardiac coils being larger on the Vantage Titan according to Toshiba.

Toshiba’s Cardio Prospective helps reduce patient radiation dose by up to 80 percent during coronary CTA exams by using a helical acquisition technique to provide one continuous image instead of multiple images produced by the current step-and-shoot technique.

Fujifilm�s Synapse 3.2.1 software is an extension of version 3.2, with a new Graphic User Interface (GUI). GUI changes include increase use of color to help identify changes in information on the display, new icons and a contrast scheme designed for radiology viewing conditions. The software also includes quadrant zooming and common frame of reference (CFOR) Navigation, allowing for window/leveling, zooming and mirror panning of linked images for full field digital mammography.

A third round of software enhancements has been made to the iLab System 1.3, an ultrasound imaging system designed to strengthen physician confidence in the diagnosis and intervention of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and increase workflow efficiency.
