February 12, 2008 – Telemedicine company Advanced ICU Care said today it expanded its ICU patient monitoring program to 24/7 care and monitoring at five of Parkview Health System’s hospitals in the Fort Wayne, IN area.

February 12, 2008 - Wellsoft Corp. said today it entered into a national agreement with Premier Purchasing Partners to provide the Wellsoft Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) to emergency departments in Premier’s alliance of more than 1,550 member hospitals.

The maker says Wellsoft EDIS is designed by and for emergency department clinicians. Features include patient tracking, nursing and physician documentation, electronic orders and results, charge capture, and coding.

The Nebraska Medical Center will receive its new Elekta Neuromag MEG system in the spring/summer of 2008. With the MEG system from Elekta installed, neurosurgeons, neurologists and other clinicians will be able to noninvasively record human brain activity in real time.
