Amicas’ Vision Reach 2.0 radiology tool extends the solution’s functionality to include follow-up order entry.

With Vision Reach, a referring physician has the ability to order a follow-up exam, in addition to receiving instantaneous secure notification when a report is available. This tool provides proactive electronic delivery, notifying the referring physician when exam results are ready.

VIDAR Systems Corp. will highlight its CAD PRO Advantage digitizer specifically designed for mammography, providing the ability to quickly digitize film-based prior studies and, when coupled with the appropriate software, uses the DICOM MG standard to identify the specific mammography view contained on each film.

FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA will feature its digital mammography system, Fuji Computed Radiography for Mammography (FCRm), that offers a combination of image quality, versatility and practicality, and according to the company, provides 18-by-24-centimeter and 24-by-30-centimeter fields of view, 50-micron pixel sampling and Fuji’s patented dual-side reading technology.

Siemens Healthcare MAGNETOM Verio combines image quality at 3T field strength and a 70-centimeter open bore that aims to offer exceptional patient comfort in one convenient solution.

The system offers Siemens Tim (Total imaging matrix) technology, which, the comapny states, eliminates the need for patient repositioning and manual coil changes during scans, while enhancing image quality. Tim technology can help MRI departments achieve advanced clinical and workflow capabilities, according to the company.

Barco’s PACS display system, Coronis Fusion 6MP DL, reportedly introduces the industry’s first 30-inch color LCD that can be used as two 3 MP heads or one wide-screen 6 MP display, allowing radiologists to custom-organize their workspace. It is the first diagnostic system based on the latest In-Plane Switching (IPS-Pro) LCD technology. IPS-Pro sets new standards for brightness and contrast, even from a wide viewing angle, according to the company.

Picis will display its CareSuite Extelligence OR, a Web-based business intelligence (BI) solution designed specifically for analyzing and managing the business performance of the surgical environment.

At HIMSS 2008, Carestream Health will show enhancements to its KODAK CARESTREAM Information Management Solutions (IMS), including eHealth Managed Services.

Agfa’s highlights will include the introduction of a new set of IMPAX suites, Clinical Information Systems (CIS), reporting, cardiovascular, enterprise scheduling and advanced clinical applications. Pedigo will display its new 750 Series patient transport stretcher, featuring a full stainless steel side-rail system with integrated push-pull handles and a weight capacity of 750 pounds. Standard stretcher components such as Pedigo’s new Quick Release Oxygen Tank Holder (patent pending) and brake and steer foot pedals are ergonomically designed and positioned to reduce caregiver fatigue and bending.
