According to the company, FroozHIE is a secure health information exchange application that displays similar data from different sources side-by-side, enabling clinicians and patients to compare and reconcile medical records.

In the event of a patient fall, an active Sonitor patient wristband tag located in a pre-defined zone close to floor level, such as next to the bed, reportedly will be detected. February 22, 2008 - InfoLogix Inc. will launch the SurgiChip, a real-time wireless solution designed to address leading causes of surgical identity and procedure mistakes in hospitals, at HIMSS 2008.

SurgiChip is a verification system using RFID technology in an automated, controlled process to identify and document that a surgical team performs the proper procedure on the correct patient at the right surgical site prior to the start of a procedure, said InfoLogix.

February 22, 2008 - One of the first ultrasounds designed for musculoskeletal specialists—the S-MKK— was recently released by SonoSite Inc.

The S-MSK was made for usage by rheumatologists, physiatrists, sports physicians, orthopedic and osteopathic surgeons and physical therapists, said the company.

SonoSite plans to begin customer shipments in March.

Dr. Dwyer, was a pioneer in digital medical imaging, and many referred to him as "The Father of PACS." We at ITN have been privileged to have a visionary such as Dr. Dwyer on our Advisory Board to guide and enrich our editorial scope. It is also notable that Dr. Dwyer was a SIIM Fellow.
