Siemens' syngo TrueD is designed for oncology, supporting PET/CT, SPECT/CT as well as CT or MR fused with PET or SPECT. The syngo TrueD was de-signed to allow physicians to compare patient scans from different time points (such as pre- and post-therapy) and provide advanced image analysis and comparison.

The ProVision Workstation is designed to streamline radiology workflow through its one-click access of the Cerner Multimedia Foundation, a single repository for all types of images across multiple care venues.
The system is part of Cerner’s suite of radiology solutions, including Integrated Digital Dictation and ProVision Web for integration with the electronic medical record.

In addition to showcasing the ARIA Oncology Information System, a comprehensive system for managing clinical care and administrative functions at cancer treatment facilities, Varian Medical Systems will highlight its I-Response technology from Cedara Software.

The tool shows how tumors are responding to treatment at the biological level, often before changes in tumor shape or size become visible. The I-Response tool monitors changes in tumor tissue at the cellular and metabolic levels using PET/CT analysis and an MR technique called functional diffusion mapping (fDM).

The new WIDE P-Series line of LCDs will hit SIIM 2008, sporting a 2MP monochrome and color, a 3MP monochrome and color and a 5MP monochrome LCD for mammography, all reportedly featuring higher brightness levels on each LCD. New perks include digital uniformity control, 12-bit processing, a retractable front sensor, a backlight sensor for luminance control and bonded protective panels.
