The new Kodak Point-of-Care CR 360 system provides radiology imaging capabilities in a centralized or distributed environment and can be used on a tabletop or on a Z-cart that enables users to take the equipment to the patient.

The system provides for high-resolution images with a wide exposure range and low noise, contains new operating software and allows for integration with multiple RIS/PACS.

The latest addition to its HD ultrasound family of products, the Philips HD7, has launched in the U.S. and is designed for high-volume use in cardiovascular, OB/GYN, anesthesiology, oncology, electrophysiology, stress echo, pediatric, orthopedic, urologic, emergency and other applications.

The new 3MP (CCL354i2) and 2MP (CCL254i2) color LCDs built for mammography have a maximum luminance of 800cd/m (3MP) and 950cd/m, respectively, and reportedly reproduce accurately monochrome images with the same quality as monochrome LCDs.

Siemens' syngo TrueD is designed for oncology, supporting PET/CT, SPECT/CT as well as CT or MR fused with PET or SPECT. The syngo TrueD was de-signed to allow physicians to compare patient scans from different time points (such as pre- and post-therapy) and provide advanced image analysis and comparison.

The ProVision Workstation is designed to streamline radiology workflow through its one-click access of the Cerner Multimedia Foundation, a single repository for all types of images across multiple care venues.
The system is part of Cerner’s suite of radiology solutions, including Integrated Digital Dictation and ProVision Web for integration with the electronic medical record.

In addition to showcasing the ARIA Oncology Information System, a comprehensive system for managing clinical care and administrative functions at cancer treatment facilities, Varian Medical Systems will highlight its I-Response technology from Cedara Software.

The tool shows how tumors are responding to treatment at the biological level, often before changes in tumor shape or size become visible. The I-Response tool monitors changes in tumor tissue at the cellular and metabolic levels using PET/CT analysis and an MR technique called functional diffusion mapping (fDM).

The new WIDE P-Series line of LCDs will hit SIIM 2008, sporting a 2MP monochrome and color, a 3MP monochrome and color and a 5MP monochrome LCD for mammography, all reportedly featuring higher brightness levels on each LCD. New perks include digital uniformity control, 12-bit processing, a retractable front sensor, a backlight sensor for luminance control and bonded protective panels.

Quest International showcases its true 12-bit, grayscale mammographic images, utilizing an Apple Mac system, OsiriX and the Totoku ME551i2 medical LCD display. The ME551i2 is a 21.3-inch, 5MP, DICOM-compliant diagnostic quality display and is able to interface with the new 64-bit version of OsiriX, an advanced open-source PACS workstation DICOM viewer.

AMICAS' new version of Vision Series RIS introduces advanced work queues to optimize the order entry and scheduling workflows.

Mindray's PM-7000 multiparameter patient monitor is designed with a 10.4-inch color TFT display, optional 12-lead ECG including Mortara arrhythmiaas ST segment analysis and capability of up to eight waveforms. The PM-7000 also is made with an optional external Artema anesthetic agent bench with auto ID or internal Oridion Microstream EtC02.
