ECRI Institute, Phoenix Data Systems Offer Maintenance Management Software Integration Package

June 2, 2008 - ECRI Institute, an independent nonprofit that researches the best approaches to improving patient care, and Phoenix Data Systems, Inc., provider of AIMS Equipment Maintenance Management Software, announce a new agreement to provide medical device data integration for hospitals’ computerized maintenance management systems (CMMSs).

The Phoenix Data integration will offer hospitals interfaces between Phoenix Data’s AIMS and ECRI Institute’s Universal Medical Device Nomenclature System (UMDNS), Health Devices International Sourcebase manufacturer codes, and Alerts Tracker, a Web-based, automated patient safety system for alert and recall management.

The integrated product is expected to offer users more efficient capital equipment inventory control and more effective response to patient safety alerts and recalls. Phoenix Data expects to announce product availability in summer 2008.

Phoenix Data Systems Inc. is the sole manufacturer and developer of the AIMS Equipment Maintenance Management Software.
