Historically, fusion software has been available only on dedicated workstations for nuclear imaging. With the software, users can fuse CT and PET images from any desktop computer using Internet Explorer.

December 20, 2010 – An on-demand image exchange network has been integrated with Microsoft HealthVault, a platform designed to support personal health applications and services. Integrating lifeImage’s network will make it possible for physicians to share imaging information with their patients, and provides an intuitive image visualization interface to review exams.

The new Dome S10 display is an ultra-thin 10 MP diagnostic mammography display capable of showing two 5 MP images, making it well suited for back-to-back chest wall reads. It includes a one-touch button to enhance regulatory workflow by both discreetly notifying the user or technician of and providing instant one-touch access to required quality control testing.

December 17, 2010 – A new mammography technology that was displayed at RSNA 2010 is pending 510(k) approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The SenoBright Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) technology is designed to let a physician image blood flow through angiography of the breast using a contrast agent and a dual energy acquisition technique.

December 17, 2010 – An ultrasound contrast agent is under review by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in stress echocardiography. Lantheus Medical Imaging recently submitted a supplemental new drug application for its Definity (Perflutren Lipid Microsphere) Injectable Suspension.

The SpeechMike product line of dictation microphones is designed for ease of use and to give the user control from the palm of the hand. SpeechMike offers good audio quality for accurate speech recognition results, plus a comfortable ergonomic design.
