Horizon Medical Imaging (HMI) version 11.7 is the latest release of McKesson’s picture archiving and communications system (PACS) with both infrastructure updates and usability enhancements. The new version also enhances medical imaging workflow from order entry to report distribution, image analysis to data storage and distribution.

December 29, 2010 – RadNet, a diagnostic imaging service provider, will acquire Imaging On Call for $5.5 million. An additional compensation of $2.5 million will be given if Imaging On Call achieves certain 2011 performance milestones.

The acquisition will allow RadNet to enter the teleradiology business. It is expected to close on or around December 31, 2010.
