August 21, 2014 — IDS announced that Desert Imaging (DI) of El Paso, Texas, has implemented IDS’ AbbaDox RAD cloud-based radiology IT platform to manage imaging workflow for its growing multisite imaging practice. DI’s two outpatient imaging centers and mobile mammography suites are benefitting from AbbaDox RAD’s seamlessly integrated RIS (radiology information system), PACS (picture archiving and communications system), Voice2Dox speech recognition clinical reporting, referring physician portal and CRM to expand their referral base.

August 20, 2014 — Additive manufacturing (3-D printing) company Oxford Performance Materials (OPM) announced it has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its 3-D printed OsteoFab patient-specific facial device.
