August 21, 2014 — Avreo partnered with Roper St. Francis to provide services in 18 clinics across 36 locations throughout the Charleston, S.C., area. Roper St. Francis will use the Avreo interWORKS Solution to manage the picture archive and communication system (PACS) component for Roper St. Francis Physician Partners, a comprehensive network of more than 200 physicians that covers a range of primary care and 20 subspecialties. The Avreo interWORKS Solution will be seamlessly integrated into Roper St. Francis’ eClinicalWorks electronic health record. Avreo also will be providing integration with TeraMedica’s vendor neutral archive to store images and documents.

“We are very excited to work with Avreo, Inc. to create our PACS system for diagnostic imaging across the entire Roper St. Francis Physician Partners group,” said James Price with Orthopaedic Specialists of Charleston. “This will allow our more than 200 physicians to access images created in their offices anywhere in the Roper St. Francis system. This will enhance patient care and eliminate the various cobbled together methods to get images where they were needed. It is a single solution that is a win for everyone involved!"

Roper St. Francis chose Avreo interWORKS because it allows access to patients’ images, regardless of their location, provides the ability to view images within eClinicalWorks and will integrate with the vendor neutral archive, all of which are essential pieces of the Roper St. Francis workflow.

As the largest adult healthcare provider in the Lowcountry with multiple locations, Roper St. Francis wanted to maintain centralized access to patient images throughout its system. Avreo’s WAN (Wide Area Network) optimized, Web-based connectively ensures all Roper St. Francis professionals can perform workflow-driven tasks and access needed information regardless of where they are located, creating stability and ease for Roper St. Francis employees.

Roper St. Francis sought an option that would integrate with its existing eClinicalWorks electronic health record and efficiently give the ordering physicians access to images. The Avreo interWORKS Solution provides hyperlinked access to reports and images from Roper St. Francis’ eClinicalWorks system, so ordering physicians simply click a hyperlink from within the eClinicalWorks electronic health record and that opens a Web page that displays images within the Avreo viewer. Since Avreo’s solution is a Meaningful Use-certified product, information such as Meaningful Use clinical decision support from eClinicalWorks electronic health record is integrated seamlessly with Avreo’s interWORKS Solution.
