Konica Minolta Medical Imaging announced the release of a new digital radiography (DR) solution — ImagePilot Aero. This all-in-one digital imaging system combines the ease of use and simplified image acquisition of the Konica Minolta ImagePilot System with the workflow efficiencies, and high image quality of the lightweight, wireless Aero DR panel. With this new solution, private practices, imaging centers and community hospitals have access to the productivity and versatility of wireless DR.
Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA announced that it will collaborate with UMG / Del Medical, a leading provider of radiography products, to design a new DR system that will enhance the use of the Konica Minolta Aero DR flat panel technology when used in conjunction with a Del radiographic system. Once this project is completed, some Del Medical systems will allow seamless integration with the Konica Minolta Aero DR and provide cable-based communication for image transfer for both the X-ray table and upright Bucky systems. This configuration will also continuously charge the Aero DR panel, eliminating the need to remove the panel for charging.
Just a few years ago, the debate in radiology departments about workhorse X-ray systems was whether to convert from analog film to computed radiography (CR) cassettes and digital readers, or to direct imaging digital radiography (DR) systems. Today, there is no doubt DR has won that debate and is being widely adopted, and CR is falling out of favor.
Konica Minolta Medical Imaging introduces a revolutionary auto-stitching system for use with the Aero digital radiography (DR) flat panel detector. It delivers high image quality and excellent workflow. A moving slit detects the upper and lower edge of the field, determines the number of exposures, and then quickly and accurately moves the detector to capture the images. The exposure is ready in only five seconds. Compared to traditional computed radiography (CR)/DR stitching systems, Konica Minolta’s auto stitching process can dramatically reduce patient exam time and improve technologist workflow.
Konica Minolta Medical Imaging introduces another innovation for the wireless Aero digital radiography (DR) — the new AeroSync X-ray exposure synchronization technology. With AeroSync, facilities can easily upgrade existing analog portable X-ray systems not fitted with DR interfaces into digital systems.
At RSNA 2012, Konica Minolta showed its three latest advances in digital radiography (DR) X-ray. The company featured ...
Konica Minolta announced that Aero digital radiography (DR), the world’s lightest, wireless DR flat panel detector, is now available as a 10 x 12 inch plate. The Aero DR 10 inch x 12 inch is an ideal solution for pediatric exams due to its small size and superior dose efficiency.
As digital radiography (DR) technology matures and the cost of implementing direct digital flat panels decreases, hospitals are considering replacing older computed radiography (CR) units with DR. Another technology innovation – the emergence of wireless DR systems – is further lowering the cost of a flat panel DR solution.
When it comes to modalities, why select digital radiography (DR)? There are several reasons. First, DR is fast. The speed inherent in the technology improves overall workflow for the entire radiology department. Also, image quality is superb and the required X-ray doses can be significantly lower than with traditional modalities.
At AHRA 2012, Konica Minolta Medical Imaging showed a new upgrade kit that turns portable X-ray systems into a digital, wireless solution.
